The company says that it did everything to ensure that the third-generation UHP tire outperforms the previous model in the reliability of wet grip, steering precision and optimization of fuel consumption for vehicles with a high center of gravity. At the same time, the high resistance to wear of the Ventus S1 evo2 SUV was kept on the same level. The Hankook K127A uses new-generation innovative materials, which is due to the manufacturer’s ongoing fundamental scientific research. Thanks to including high-efficiency natural resins on the tread compound, the Hankook engineers were able to optimize the tire’s handling performance on wet and dry pavement, as well as maximize its grip and stabilize traction in a wide temperature range. HSSC (Highly Enriched Synthetic Silica Compound) is a compound of new technology, in which the highly purified and quality silica compound is vulcanized at low temperatures for twice the duration compared to regular tires. This allows for the increased blending between molecules that, in turn, secures a solid driving performance, improved mileage, and low rolling resistance. Made from improved rubber compound, the sidewalls of the new model ensure at least a 2.5% reduction of rolling resistance.

The thin circumferential groove, located on the outside of the asymmetric tread, reminds of the first-generation Ventus S1 evo model. Acting in combination with the wide circumferential grooves, this interlocking outside groove secures wet grip and prevents hydroplaning on slick surfaces. This reinforces the tire’s performance on wet roads and cornering in the rain, without compromising dry handling performance. The special bevels in the central part of the tread are meant to increase the contact area under the influence of lateral loads, thus improving the tire’s maneuverability at high speeds. The connecting “bridges” in the tread increase the tire’s stiffness and ensure precise handling in corners. The aramid composite in the upper carcass ply reduces the unwanted rolling circumference increase by 60% at speeds of up to 300 km/h or more compared to traditional nylon fabrics. This significantly improves the handling response of the Hankook K127A Ventus S1 evo3 SUV, and, due to lower heat emission, ensures a longer expected mileage.
